Founded in 1978 to supply molds to the growing plastics industry in Rochester NY, Advent has grown into a full-service plastic parts and assemblies company. Still, we remain strongly committed to our roots and understand that the success of any project hinges first and foremost on the mold.
Through our internal network, Advent converts the geometry from your files into the optimum mold design utilizing ProE®, Unigraphics®, CATIA®, and CADKEY®. From this early, critical point in the project, we are able to employ the latest flow modeling software to ensure precise gate design and locations among other considerations. Once the design has been completed and approved by Advent and customer engineering, we begin the manufacturing of the tool.
From customer-supplied models, we first program the most critical tool paths utilizing Unigraphics and Mastercam machining software. Next, we maximize our in-house equipment and technology to precisely create all the components of the tool. Our extensive In-House Tool Room capabilities include Mitsubishi wire and sink EDM machines, Makino high speed CNC steel and graphite machining centers, and Mori Sieki vertical machining centers all run with factory-trained technicians. Completing the process, our experienced master mold makers assemble and custom fit these components into a full-scale production mold. Equally critical to long-term success is the preventative maintenance of a production tool by trained mold makers.
AT ADVENT, WE EMPLOY A STAFF OF EXPERIENCED MOLD MAKERS WHO ARE DEDICATED TO MAINTAINING YOUR MOLDS AND TO KEEPING THEM IN OPTIMUM RUNNING CONDITION OVER THE LIFE OF THE TOOL.
Depending upon our customers’ requirements, our In-House Tool Room can produce a wide variety of precision molds — from prototype and pre-production tools, to single and multi-cavity, high and low volume, and hot and cold runner production applications. Bottom-line is always to meet or exceed your need for injection molds.
Greater economies may be achieved through our existing relationships with qualified mold suppliers in low cost areas such as China. We can project manage tools in these markets if the cost is less or our customer requires low-cost country content. In all cases, our aim is to identify the lowest achievable cost for your project.
